Life truly is busy right now. Grandma Lori & Grandpa Bob along with Great Grandma Deets came to visit on Sunday. Grandpa Tim arrived later that evening. Peter has been loving seeing all of his grandparents!! This has been helpful as he is getting use to have Carlie as part of his family. He has been such a wonderful helper but a little bit of the jealousy is starting to show which is not surprising. We know that it will just take time and will get better as we settle into a family routine.
Yesterday, Carlie had her first doctor's appt. She is doing well. She had been having jaundice issues in the hospital but is looking much better. That is because the girl is always wanting to eat but unfortunately has a small mouth. We are working on this and will visit lactation this week. She had dropped down to 8lbs. 7oz. when we left the hospital but was up to 8lbs. 13oz. yesterday. The amazing part of the visit is that the hospital had measured her at 20 1/2 inches long and yesterday she measured 22 1/4 inches long. Wow! She either grew lots, stretched out to her true size, or was measured wrong. Doesn't really matter. We were trying to figure out how she was so much heavier then Peter was but shorter. Now we have our answer.
Tomorrow, Peter is getting his ear tubes. We have not talked much about it with him because of all of the other changes. I think we will have a good talk tonight about it. We are due at Mary Bridge Children's Hospital at 7:30 in the morning. I am happy that it is early but am worried about getting us all out the door that early. Then we are going to have a restful day of what ever Peter wants. The surgery should only take a few minutes. I hope to update everyone on how it goes.
