We just had a wonderful weekend in Oregon with family for Thanksgiving. Carlie loved dressing up for Thanksgiving this year even though she was very neutral in color.

Even though we were surrounded by a lot of snow at my in-laws, just down the road Grandma D's did not have much snow at all.

Sweet snuggles with Auntie.

Fun reading and snuggle with Tio.

I know it is blurry but gives a sense of Carlie's skirt.

Fun with Auntie.

Can you see how tired my sweet boy was?
After a great day of shopping at the "sock store" (Fred Meyer's), we had a lovely evening snuggling with family.

The one major treat of the weekend was going to pick up our Christmas tree. We had made special arrangements with the Sandy Optimist Club to get a tree. The supplier that we worked with happened to be Rob's 5th grade math teacher who is a major reason why my dear husband teaches math. We had a wonderful talk with him about education. Our children were very excited to see where Christmas trees come from. We were told that next year, we will have to cut our own tree. I think the kids would love that.

This is a view of the fields.
Tonight, we got to celebrate having a tree. We started the decorating process but have not gotten far yet. Both kids are so excited to see it all lit up.
