Thursday morning, we headed out to the Museum of Flight bright and early in the morning so that we could see Super Guppy. NASA's Super Guppy was bringing another part of the Space Shuttle Flight Trainer that Museum of Flight is honored to be receiving. Traffic surprised us and was actually really light so we were there an hour before the museum open so we wondered around the outside.
The Dreamliner, 787.
A little bit of running around to get the energy and excitement out.
Carlie was the instigator.
Once the museum opened, we headed straight to the "tower". We thought it would have a great view and then it would not be too loud for Carlie.
Fly by!
Going back around.
Landed.
Since Super Guppy was getting positioned to off load it's cargo, we decided to go visit the rest of the museum.
Across the street is where the Space Shuttle trainer will be.
A mock engine.
The back of what the museum had so far of the trainer.
A test engine for private space crafts.
Peter was looking into the Soyuz.
The trainer and below is where it was signed by the final flight crew.
Air Force one. I really do take the pictures.
This is inside Concorde. It really is narrow.
We are thinking this is built for the next part of the Space Shuttle Trainer. The workmen were hanging out waiting for the pieces.
We then headed into the WWI and II section of the museum.
Felixstowe
The kids were getting tired so went to head home but had to look at Super Guppy one more time.
To the right is the tower that where we watched the Super Guppy land.
Looks like the next section of the Space Shuttle Trainer.
Such a fun day at the Museum of Flight.
