Today was the big day that the kids have been so excited for, the Blue Angels at the Museum of Flight. We thought we were getting there nice and early. Boy were we wrong. We did finally find parking and got out to the front area just in time to see the Blue Angels take off.
Waiting for them to come out.
Carlie is nervous about them coming out.
We decided to go back closer to the museum because of the noise which was a great idea because they were so loud, our bodies were rattled.
Those planes have a lot of power.
While they practiced, we headed into the museum and saw some things that we did not look at last week.
The view from the "tower".
Peter very badly wanted to go into the flight zone and play some.
My boys looking at displays.
This is in the Red Barn.
The kids were all excited about the tools that they use to build planes.
Peter trying to wait patiently for Carlie to come up the stairs.
The Blue Angels were still flying around as we came out to see them.
They landed right after that. Plane 3 did not go up so Plane 7 did, which is a double seater I learned today.
Here are the three that were out and playing around when we were in the museum. 2 more had gone up while we were in the museum.
We checked out the planes up close, at least as far as Boeing would allow.
Really neat to see the crew checking everything out.
The pilots.
The crew heading out for some lunch.
The other two planes still playing.
Since we were done seeing the Blue Angels and the car was behind the Space Section, we headed across the street to see the Space Shuttle Trainer.
Here is the new section.
An engine for a Space Shuttle.
Then it was time to head home. This pass has more then paid for itself with the great adventures that we have been having at the Museum of Flight.
