NTMC preschool classes went to Proctor's Fire Station, Fire Station 13. We learned so much. This fire station turned 100 this year. It has the horse stalls and everything to prove it.

I just loved the tin ceiling and the charm of the old station but it does need some work.

After touring the inside, we got to see what is in the fire engine. (I know it is an engine because a truck has all the gear like chainsaws and jaws of life.) The fire fighters talked to the kids about what to do if there is a fire and showed them what fire fighters look like in all their gear.

Carlie was frightened. That is part of the reason why they get in all the gear to teach kids that they are safe when they see someone dressed like this.

Peter was loving the whole experience.

Carlie did was scared...

...so her brother held her hand.

They even raised the ladder to show us the noozle at the end. Then invited us to get sprayed, ha ha.

Instead, the kids got to spray the hose.

Peter wanted to spray me, can you tell?

Carlie decided that she wanted nothing to do with it.

Peter patiently waited like a school ager.

Carlie then hung out with her bff.

The kids then got to climb into the front seat of the fire engine.

Carlie decided to climb up but only mommy was allowed to help her. When taking the picture, she was not happy with the fire fighter trying to protect her with his hand.

Video is of the siren that the fire fighters played for us at the end of our trip.

Thank you Fire Station 13 for having us.
