Happy 4th of July! We thought the perfect way to spend the day is to do it with family and a friend. We all headed off to Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium where we met up with Noel. The kids were super excited because they wanted to see the baby leopards.
Walking towards the zoo this morning was gorgeous! The view of Puget Sound always amazes me. Those animals are so lucky.

Once we got our new membership, we headed in, straight for Asian Forest like we always do.

Peter was really interested in the elephants today. After watching them, he went and checked out the elephant barn and the staff members who were cleaning it.
We went through Asian Forest and past because the leopards feeding was not for a little bit still. After looking at the snake we go to see this beautiful bird.

Then we headed into the aquarium. Throughout the zoo and aquarium, American flags were placed with the animals.

Then we headed back to see the baby leopards. Once we got there, we found our favorite zoo keeper and really good friend.

The glare on the glass was awful but it was great to see the babies.
We checked out many other animals.

Even got to hear a keeper talk about the walruses.

Later Peter got really excited that he was reading some of the signs for the animals.

Noel and the kids were playing some games.

Mt. Rainier from the park.

We had a ton of fun this morning. Of course the kids got tired and crabby so it was time to head home.

So, Happy 4th of July from our family to yours.
