If you have ever heard us talk about 4th of July, you know how insane it is in our neighborhood. We live in a hollow and surrounded by houses. For some reason, most people buy illegal fireworks from the Indian Reservation nearby. Many of the fireworks would rival a professional show, the only issue is that you are surrounded by it rather then watching it in front of you. It is quite hard to photograph because you have to listen to the mortars to figure out what direction the next one is going to come from.
This year Peter joined us for a while to watch. He then could not go to sleep until 11. It was just too loud. Carlie slept with ear protection on and the fan at the highest level. She woke quite a few times though.

Happy 5th of July and may it be quiet!
