Thanksgiving Weekend

We had such a busy weekend. Of course, Carlie had the hives that showed up on Thursday morning.

She just looked miserable and by the time we arrived in Oregon, she was covered head to toe. Luckily she had a lightweight dress for Thanksgiving which is what she needed. We had a wonderful time visiting with family. 21 people were at dinner. The exciting thing was that everything was milk free, yeah! So, I got to eat everything that there was. This included the yummy apple pie that Peter loves, and asked for at every meal. He also loved the cranberry sauce that Grandpa Bob made. I loved the gluten free rice stuffing. Peter had a wonderful time with his cousins and played so nicely. We were super impressed because Peter did not get a nap at all that day. Carlie was not into visiting with other people other then mommy but she is at that stage.

Friday was shopping, of course. Had to go to the sock sale at Fred Meyers. Saturday was Civil War (U of O against OSU) so we joined our friends out at Jenny and Dan's. It was wonderful to meet up with friends and have all of the kids together. Boy, it was noisy though. When you get two 3 year olds, a 2 year old, a 8 month old, a 7 month old, and a month old together; things get loud but they had so much fun. Carlie favorite part was when Webster, their mini doxon, was licking her on the mouth. I seperated the two of them but Carlie grabbed Web's snout and kissed his snout. What a silly girl. The boys had a greatt time watching the game. Too bad OSU lost. They probably lost their chance at the Rose Bowl too. Peter was the winner of the night. Jenny and Dan made Peter a beautiful toy chest that he now has in his room. There are dinosaurs on each side of the chest and even has dino footprints burned on as a border. It is beautiful. As you can tell, Peter and Carlie love it.

Now that the weekend is over, we are all exhausted. Carlie's hives have gotten better since she started benedryl. We just need to keep her cool. We had a wonderful time though.
